My youngest daughter, who celebrated her 4.5 birthday earlier this month, is obsessed with drawing and writing. She’ll hide off in a corner with her pad and pencils, coloring a picture or trying to form words.
Recently, she made a word for me. It consisted of the letters E, O, and M, followed by what looked like a fat letter L with a nub on the end. When I asked her what the last letter was, she told me it was a shoe.
I think that’s now my favorite word — E.O.M. – shoe.
